Another beautiful sailing day. This time we were running straight downwind and could not use the cruising spinnaker, but brought out the jib with a whisker pole and ran "wing-on-wing" (mainsail on one side, jib on the other), looks just great. That day we also caught our first fish, a nice salmon (which we had for dinner that day). Actually before that Oliver caught a small shark (which they released), but I was asleep and missed it. In the afternoon the wind started to get stronger but during Oliver and mine 12-3am watch things were still manageable. By this time we were already close to the California border.
